Which month had the most sunshine?
June had the highest average daily sunshine in this dataset: 11.42 hours. August had the fewest average daily precipitation hours, at 3.3. Those are different measures; neither promises a dry wedding day.

What the figures mean for your wedding
Compare the season with your venue’s shade, indoor space and travel arrangements. Average precipitation hours describe duration, not rainfall amount or the probability of rain during your ceremony. A daily maximum is the warmest part of a day, not the evening temperature.
This is a single London grid location. Conditions at a particular venue and on a particular date will differ. Ten years describe this sample; they are not a standard 30-year climate normal or a forecast.
Method and sources
We grouped all 3,653 daily records from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2025 by calendar month and took the arithmetic mean of each measure. Sunshine seconds were converted to hours. Leap days are included; the saved response has no missing values. Results are rounded to two decimal places.
The request used London coordinates 51.5074, −0.1278 and the Europe/London timezone. Open-Meteo returned grid coordinates 51.493847, -0.1630249. These are gridded historical weather estimates, rather than measurements at a wedding venue. Data retrieved 2026-09-22.
This analysis averages all days. Dropory’s individual report ranking instead averages calendar-day median sunshine, so the rankings can differ.
